The Luminous NXG 1800 solar hybrid inverter can be used to harness the energy from solar panels and provide it to run both DC-powered and AC-powered household appliances. The capacity of the solar inverter is 1500VA and it can provide simultaneous power output for upto 1200W AC appliances and upto 60W (12V) DC appliances. The solar inverter also produces a pure sinewave AC output which ensures safety and noiseless operation of sensitive appliances such as TV, Refrigerator, food processor etc. The NXG 1800 can be operated in two modes – UPS mode (providing higher protection to more sensitive appliances such as computers) and ECO mode .

On the input side, solar panels upto 1300W can be connected to the NXG 1800 solar UPS and the in-built charge controller has a maximum capacity of 40A. The intelligent charging technology can save upto 4 units of electricity per day. The NXG 1800 also comes with a special feature to regulate the grid power being used to charge the batteries. In case of high power cuts, the i–charge switch should be turned ON to enable fast charging of the batteries through grid power in addition to the available solar power (the maximum current that can be drawn from the grid is 15A). To limit the amount of grid power being used, the i-charge switch should be turned OFF (this will limit the maximum current drawn from the grid to 10A)

The NXG 1800 is a 24V inverter and needs to be connected to two external batteries in series. You have the flexibility to connect either flat plate, tubular type or VRLA/Gel type batteries to the inverter as the charging current is adjusted based on the type of battery (through a selectable switch)
